Care Affair 2010 News!!!
Saturday, April 17th at The Atlanta History Center Grand Overlook Ballroom
We are so excited about our new venue and we are looking forward to another successful Care Affair! This year's event will be held at the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead, with the beneficiaries being CURE Childhood Cancer ("CURE") and The TriDelta Foundation.
"Fly Me to the Moon: A Casino Party"
It is a sobering statistic to know that cancer claims the lives of more young people in the United States under the age of 20 than any other disease; making the stakes even higher to help find a cure as soon as possible! That is exactly what CURE seeks to do on a daily basis with their life-saving research done right here in Atlanta at the Emory University School of Medicine and the Aflac Cancer Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. CURE also works diligently to assist both patients and their families to help overcome their day to day critical needs. This year we will be honoring the “Faces of CURE” at the event and will be sharing a bit of what it is like to live with and live with someone who had been affected by childhood cancer. We will also be sharing how vital CURE is to these families and to the fight against cancer and give you some insight on what makes them one of the best non-profit organizations in all of Atlanta.
In addition to supporting CURE Childhood Cancer, 10% of the money raised during Care Affair provides educational financial assistance for well-deserving women through The TriDelta Foundation. These women who receive a scholarship form the TriDelta Foundation could very well be the future doctors, researchers, and biologists who one day finds the cure for childhood cancer. We are thrilled at the opportunity to use Care Affair to support both CURE and The TriDelta Foundation.
With over $1.5 Million Dollars raised in the last 26 years through Care Affair, it’s certainly not a gamble to support this event and the worthy causes that benefit from your generous donations!
We would love to have as many hearts and hands aboard as possible - at any level of involvement!
